5. Planning Sales Tasks

Follow

A task is a reminder to perform a future sales activity. Using LeafLink, you can create tasks and add them to your LeafLink calendar (or sync them with your personal calendar).

All of the tasks that you create will also appear in the Sales Representative Task Report. You can use the filters on this report to see a full list of your upcoming tasks.

How to Create a Task

To create a task for a Customer, click Customers in the LeafLink navigation panel. Then, follow these steps:

  1. Find the Customer for which you’d like to create a task and click on the Customer name.
  2. From the Customer Overview page, click on the Tasks tab in the horizontal navigation bar.
  3. Enter information about the task. You may assign the task to yourself or to another member of your team.
  4. Click Save. The task will now appear in the Tasks tab as well as on your Calendar, which can be found in the Customers tab.

How to Add a LeafLink Task to Your Personal Calendar

You can sync tasks from your LeafLink calendar with your personal Google, Yahoo!, iCal, or Outlook calendar. To sync your calendars, click Customers in the LeafLink navigation panel. Then, follow these steps.

  1. Click on Calendar tab in the horizontal navigation bar.
  2. Click on the task on your LeafLink calendar.
  3. In the modal, click +Add to my Calendar.
  4. Click the calendar client that you use. It will open the task in your calendar in a new browser tab.
  5. Save the task in your personal calendar client.

Updating the Task Status

A task is automatically saved as a To Do, but you can track the status of your task by changing it to In Progress or Done.

  1. To change the status of a task, click Customers in the LeafLink navigation panel. Then, follow these steps:
  2. Find the Customer for which you’d like to create a task and click on the Customer name.
  3. From the Customer Overview page, click on the Tasks tab in the horizontal navigation bar.
